Usage Tips: Searching   The default search option is to search through all citations and the texts of all articles. Other options, such as searching through article titles, are available.
Truncation   To search for various forms of a word (or part of a word), place an asterisk (*) at the end of the word. For example, exhibit* will retrieve exhibit, exhibits, exhibition, exhibitionist, etc.
Combining Terms   Find citations containing two or more words by connecting them with the word "AND." Example: pollut* AND potomac.
To search for a phrase, enclose the words in quotation marks. Example: "washington and lee university".

Search Results   Results are arranged with the oldest articles first. Use the "Sort results by" option to re-arrange to have the most recent articles first or to have the most relevant articles first.
Full-text copies of most articles are provided in PDF format, which requires Adobe Acrobat reader software installed on your computer.
